Black Mountain Road, Powys, Wales, A4069
The Brecon Beacons in Wales are well known for their dramatic landscape, high mountains, swooping valleys and thousand of miles of isolation and the road which travels between them offers exactly that. This will be the closest thing that you can find to a theme park on the road as this route dips, rises, twists and turns as you take in the breathtaking surroundings. This is considered one of the most scenic roads in the World and you cannot miss out if you want to take a drive in pure natural beauty.
Humber Bridge, North Lincolnshire
The sprawling 2,200 meter bridge that spans the great Humber river was once the longest bridge of its type back when it was first opened in 1981. The bridge connects East Riding and North Lincolnshire and it is truly a sight to behold, especially as you are traveling over it. The views appear to go on for eternity as you cross this great feat of human engineering and once you have reached the other side, you will be wanting to go back over it just to see those views again.
Inverness to Nairn, Northern Scotland
This outstanding circular route between the city of Inverness and the town of Nairn should be recognized by UNESCO because of the sheer natural beauty on offer. The 2-day drive takes in the very best of the Scottish coastline in places like Lossiemouth and heads through the Cairngorms national park where you will be treated to wildlife and amazing colors of purple thistles and shades of green fauna as you casually drive through the wilderness.
