Of all the theme parks in Orlando my favorite by far has to be Universal Studios and anyone who loves movies will feel the same way. I have lost count of the amount of amazing days which I have spent here in Universal and I would urge anyone visiting Orlando to put this place at the top of their list. If you want to go to Universal Studios then I would recommend that you buy your tickets online in advance so that you can Universal Orlando tickets for less than you would pay if you bought them from the park on the day that you go. When you do get into the park, here are the rides that will blow your socks off.
The Walking Dead
Last year Universal was hosting a series of horror nights and one of the temporary attractions which they put in place was a Walking Dead horror maze. Such was its success the park decided to make this a permanent attraction and I would strongly recommend that you give it a try. This isn’t for the faint of heart and whether you are a hardcore horror fan or someone who gets a bit nervy when it comes to terror, this is an attraction which will scare the pants off you. The visual graphics are terrifying and brilliant in equal measure and if you make it through the maze alive you’ll be left with a mixed bag of awesome emotions.
My experience of 3D rides has never been that great, that was until I set foot on the Transformers 3D ride here at Universal Studios. This immersive ride takes you deep into the world of the machines and uses flight simulation technology to whisk you through an amazing adventure with realistic graphics and visuals that will utterly thrill you. So powerful is this ride that you’ll genuinely believe that you are living in this crazy world of Transformers, a testament to just how incredible this experience really is.
Hop on board a boat and take yourself on a trip through the world of Jurassic Park which has been created using animatronics. Stephen Spielberg himself was part of the design for this ride and it tells, with realistic dinosaurs coming at you from every angle. The heart-stopping 85ft drop at the end as you evade the claws of a T-Rex is the highlight of the attraction and it will leave you scared, thrilled and completely soaked… don’t forget to wear something waterproof.
The Simpsons ride has long been a favorite here in Universal Studios and it will take you straight into the TV set and into the town of Springfield. Meet your favorite characters, visit the Kwik-E-Mart and the Drunken Clam, and help Homer in one of his many escapades.
There are many more rides to enjoy at the theme park but these are certainly my favorites and the rides I’d recommend that you make a beeline for.
